Spiti Valley Tour From Manali

Day 1:- Arrival Manali

Arrive Manali on own and check in at Hotel.  Rest of day at leisure overnight at Hotel.

Day 2:-  Manali/Kunzam Pass/Kaza (201kms)

Travel by surface from Manali to Kaza over Rohtang Pass (3980m) & Kunzum Pass (4558m).  Enroot also drive past some villages of Spiti Valley like Losar, Hal, and Ragrik. On arrival in Kaza check in at guest house night stay at Guest Kaza.

Day 3:- in Kaza

Morning visit the Ki Monastery, 12 kms from Kaza. This Centuries- Old Gompa is a labyrinth of rooms and corridors and at one time also acted as a fort. It houses valuable thangkas and offers a panoramic view of the area. Also visit the small Gompa at Kibber, 9kms further ahead. Kibber at 4207 m has the distinction of being the highest permanently inhabited village of the region night at Guest House.

Day 4:- Kaza/Pin Valley/Tabo

Travel from Kaza to Pin Valley, the land of Ibex and Snow Leopards. Visit Kungri monastery at Pin Valley Continue drive to Tabo. Visit Tabo Monastery. Tabo is renowned for its breathtaking murals and stucco images and is often called “The Ajanta of the Himalayas”. The largest monastic complex in Spiti, the Old section has 9 Frescoes and contemporary structures too. In Trans Himalayan Buddhism, Tabo’s sanctity is next only to Tibet’s Tholing Gompa, night stay at Guest House.

Day 5:- Tabo/Dhankar/Kaza

Travel from Tabo to Dhankar Gompa. This Gompa rests high over the valley and is a stupendous example of local architecture. It is regarded to have once been a fort and was also the Stay of the ruler of "Spiti" the Nano. Also, visit the Lalung Gompa. Continue the Tour onwards to Kaza, overnight stay at Guest House.

Day 6:- Kaza to Chandertal Lake

The sixth day sets you off towards Chandertal Lake by crossing Kunzum Pass and Battal. Enjoy a mesmerizing scenic view of CB ranges peaks to absorb the nature’s aura inside you. Spend the complete day cherishing the beauty of the beautiful lake and the natural surrounding; followed by an overnight stay in a camp at Chandertal Lake.

Day 7:- Chandertal to Manali

On the last day, drive towards Manali stop for breakfast at Chandertal Lake camp and lunch at the hotel.  This day covers the crossing over two high mountain passes Kunzum pass (4,558 meters / 14,950 feet) and Rohtang Pass (3,980 meters / 13058 feet).  On the way, you can visit the temple and catch the glimpses of the unparalleled beauty of CB ranges and Glaciers. Reach to Manali in the evening.

Day 8:- in Manali Local Sightseeing

Morning half day tour, visit Naggar Castle, Roerich Art Gallery, Nager waterfall and few old Temples in Naggar village. In Afternoon city tour visiting Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Tibetan Monastery and Vashisht village, explore Manali local market night stay at Hotel.
